I believes that this had been a hot discussion within yr frens, family or other forums before.

Let's kick this topic rolls :rock:

Anyone finds that 黃蓉 is an angel in 射雕英雄傳 as well as a devil in 神雕俠侶. Well I dislike her and 郭芙 so much in 神雕俠侶

1) She is the main cause who separated 楊過 and 小龍女 for 16 years which I pity for this couple :bang:

2) She is so biased to 楊過 since he is a kid and 放縱郭芙 for causing much troubles that she made.

3) Always sided 郭芙 esp when things happen or related to 楊過.
(Remember the scenes when 郭晉 wants to hack down 郭芙's arm to repay what she did to 楊過. She sent 郭芙 back to 桃花島 and pushes the blames to 楊過 that he deserved it without knowing what is going on. She just cooks some of his hubby favourite dishes for him to 消消氣 and everything is settle down :bang: )

4) She always 提防 of 楊過 no matter how hard he had helped her before :evil:

已當了母親的黃蓉不再是我所欣賞的黃蓉了 :(


Lastly, whats yr view beside her?

I never like Huang Rong this character myself, especially in 神雕俠侶.
IMO, Guo Fu's dislike for Yang Guo is mainly Huang Rong's fault. Huang Rong also dislike Yang Guo alot since he is young when he stays with them lor. I think this influenced Guo Fu alot.
Another thing, is that we cant blame Guo Fu totally also lah. She is the eldest child of the 2big hero, Guo Jing and Huang Rong. She got all the respect and spoilt since she is born. If want to blame Guo Fu, her parents cant escape part of the blames lor.
In 神雕俠侶, i like the character Guo Xiang the most. The most cute and smart one. :D She has the nick of her grandfather, Huang Yao Shi lor. :evil:
But then my fav novel for Louis Cha is still 天龙八部. I like most of the characters in like, regardless of the heros or villians. =D>

Too bad Guo Po Lu doesn't explains much in this novel. I never likes Guo Xiang as well, so naive and ignorance IMO. But her characters definitely far better than her elder sis Guo Fu.

For me, my fav novel will be Lu Ding Ji :supz:

Saw reports on SG bringing his novels to classrooms? Good idea?

I guess the reactions are 50/50. Will those kids who hate Chinese suddenly like it bcos of his novels? Maybe their parents themselves will resent it, since many will say what does the novel teach. In a way it does make learning Chinese more interesting since they may be running out of ideas to promote Chinese, feel sad for the teachers. :(

But than, novels and comics used to be something I read to breakaway from exam or tests, 消闲活动 =)) Now they bring it up as a study material. On no..what a way to enjoy life.

I remember there is 1 chapter from our chinese text book that based on San guo zhi in the sec school day.

It is about Chi Bi Zhi Zhang... How I wish more novels on san guo zhi is being introduced to the students. At least, they knows the chinese history rather than those puligists novel

黃蓉 is indeed an angel in 射雕英雄傳.
I love her for being the smart, alert one and her strategic mind.

Wonder how would her 靖 ge ge fair without her in his life?

My other favorites are 倚天屠龙记, 天龙八部 , 雪山飞狐, 书剑恩仇录,

Anyway for yr info, She Diao Ying Xiong Zhuang will be releasing in future by Jade Dynasty. Not sure about the releasd date though...

but after reading Huang Yi's novel, I'll say Huang Yi's story is more interesting that any of Jin Yong one. :supz:

I likes the 四大名捕 and 大唐雙龍傳 by 黃易 :supz:

When I read 笑傲江湖, sometimes can fall asleep :laugh: 天龙八部 is still my top listing for 金庸.

but after reading Huang Yi's novel, I'll say Huang Yi's story is more interesting that any of Jin Yong one.
Huang Yi's books are also very long must have the staminle than can finish

For some reason, the whole story is too melancholy and sad. And depressing...

mee too :supz: :supz: tian long ba bu stil my fav...and jin yong oso the best wu xia novel writter...i like his style bcoz he's alway able to link the actual history to his stoy and make it sound so sosososo realistic...as if the story realy happen in the history.... :thumbsup: :thumbsup:
