Hi, guys i am writing this in as UK holds a special place in my heart as well as some people I know in this forum liked Eng Cheong(especially in the face of the bomb blast events). Both of us went up for the same studies to UK for a month and thoroughly enjoy the experience. Throughout my visit in UK. I went to two major cities in UK: Namely Liverpool and Manchester. Eng Cheong having the chance to visit London. I never did have the chance to travel up to London as the 50pound ticket ride is expensive and i am spending on my reserve.

The people there are nice and friendly to us. I never once during the visit being cast with the racist stare from the locals. The people there are surprisingly tolerant. And given the chance. I would liked to work and stay there as well.

The events happening there struck me as I could be in any place visiting and be caught in the line of fire. Its very deplorable carrying out such despicable acts on civilians. And if London can be struck, I shudder to think that our seemingly fortress mentality of Singapore could prevent or hold up to these acts of terror. It can happen anywhere now. Singapore could be the next in line. Any terrorist would one to claim the credit in destroying the last bastion of security in Asia.
And I strongly feel that the MRT is very vulnerable. Especially the long track between Yishun and Yio Chu Kang. Perfect target. And the next target is the City Hall Mrt evening commuters.

I think this weekends activity is a non event for me, I've got a young family though as much as I wanted them to bask in the weekend sun. I think I will spend it at home with comforting thoughts to those who had lost their dear ones in the blasts.

You guys at forum, take care.

Actually I still feel that they can strike anywhere anytime, no amount of precautionary measures will be able to do any good.

Not to be too sacastic, but people needs to be constantly reminded of sad events to keep their awareness high. I believe this is more applicable to us in sg, most will tend to forget things after 3 months.

We are fortunate, more fortunate than others over thw world that up till now, we are still spared from natural disasters and terror strikes.

Peace, peace.... :salute:

Sinkaporean...sigh are mostly sit down and drink their kopi/coffee beans and hack about news like that....they will wah another part of the world reduce in population ar. Worst many will try to match numbers to buy toto/4D to get some logical meaning to their investment in respect to the dead? I don't get it, we are living in a society where we swam to things that benefit ourselves and to our immediate familes, we hide our true feelings and discuss and gossip among each other of others misfortunates. I call it Singaporean really sing their national songs well but when they face these type of problems...they talk to their god and give abit more oil money to get a solution.
