hi stormriders, do you mean the 13" cloud figure? Yes, i have received it. I have ordered it in Mid Oct and i received it abt 10 days later. You might want to send a mail to them to check out the status.

i thought it was sold out way before october? did you ordered from comicworld.com?
how about the new wind statue? has it come out yet? i saw on comicsworld that a postage 13" figure was sold out. is this the new wind statue?

dangoh

Yep, it was sold out in end of Sept. I miss the ordering, and i went to email comicsworld and they said there were a few Cloud statues left and i place an order for it. Received it ~10 days later. The postage 13" figure priced at 1544 is mine. From what i heard from local comics shop, the new Wind statue will only be out next year. Still no fixed date yet. Anyone has any idea?

This postage is mine and its the 13" cloud figure. Definitely not Wind statue. Because Cloud was sold out originally, so comicworld put up this postage so that i could order again.

btw, nice collection you got there. YOu shd get it painted fast.
As for the last pic, i havent seen the colors one, but i have seen the chrome version and it is not as nice,

thanx god the postage was a cloud statue, i was worried i missed out on the wind statue:D
yeah, i got the chrome bookends, 2 sets of it actually, thinking of selling them but not a market for tin ha stuffs. oh well.
By the way, what do you think of the new cloud statue, good enough to get a double?

dangoh
29-10-2007, 07:20 PM
No worries, im sure they will put up a notice when Wind figure is ready for sale :) Heard the price is more exp than Cloud.
The cloud statue is very nice to look at definitely, every bit is detailed. but i find it quite flimsy in my opinion, especially the 3 swords on top of the big coat. If you touch it slightly, the swords might all drop off..and u have to put them back again.. lol. U may want to get 1 first to see for yourself before getting the 2nd. :)

I've only read the tin ha up to the japanese invasion, the company translating it to english went bankrupt. i'm waiting for another company to translate again but it's been 3 years and not looking good.

Nie Feng come with a very big wooden base... i have the 1st version of Bu Jing Yun that i bought last year the hand and color is difference. I am wandering can it put together with Nie Feng base because there is something on the leg that support the figure stand well on the base? Does your new version of Bu Jing Yun like mine?

huh? the iron support can be removed? u mean u cut it out?

Hades
07-08-2008, 04:57 PM
I think it can be detach from the base. Who really will cut out since it cost a bomb for it :|

pergolesi
07-08-2008, 08:26 PM
haha.. wat i did was attaching the figurine on the base, then rotate the figurine till reaching the end of iron support, then slowly twist and turn a bit to pull the figure out of the base.. you will have your figure detach from base without the iron support eventually, the iron support will remain on base.. hope it helps :)

alternatively you may try using plier to remove the iron support...

So i'm almost finish painting the wind statue and everything was going great until i found out the kit had a duplicate hair piece, meaning another was missing. so close yet so far.:bang: My statue looks like he is bald. The statue in the back is my duplicate, i'm going to paint him black and white like yours pergolesi. i am so bum out. Now i have to find someone to sculp me a hair piece for my statue. aaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
This would be funny if this had happened to someone else.=))

why not the same color in the picture that comes inside with the statue? why don't uou try to paint it yourself. not that hard and a lot cheaper. i thought it was hard, so i didn't do it for a year and waited but now i think it really is easy. i think it costs me around $20us for all the supplies, but i didn't use all the paints yet. this was my first paint up and it didn't come out bad at all.:supz:

stormriders
23-10-2008, 02:05 AM
you'll be surprise how easy it is. i thought of the same thing until i just decided to paint it myself. Now i want to paint all my kits. all you need is to sand the kit nicely, remove any lines and such, prime it with white primer and get water base acrylic paints and go to it. Clean up is easy cause it is water base. i know, it sounds complicated but i wish i had started last year. The other thing is don't assemble your kit before hand, paint everything then assemble it, much easier to paint when it has not been assemble. something to think about.

pergolesi
23-10-2008, 09:08 PM
sounds easy.. where do u learn all these? is there any webby i can study from?

stormriders
24-10-2008, 02:13 AM
you ca go to a site call www.statueforum.com, once you are there go to painter corner, there are helpful hint's to painting. lot's of helpful hints there.
I also just start going to a model building club, there are guys who like horror stuff and others who like mecha. Try looking for a model club in singapore. Don't you have xenamorph near you? they are locate in singapore aren't they. Last i heard they have a painters club. I just started to paint and trust me, it is easy and fullfilling, knowing you paint it yourself.
One tip, dilute your paint with water and when putting on first coat, it looks like it is blotchy but don't worry, you have to put like 10 coats before it the paint become all even, you have to layer the paint on, this will keep the paint all even. In between coats, have a blow dryer ready, i use my wife's hairdryer, blow dry it so it drys quicker, IT MUST BE DRY BEFORE ANOTHER COAT OF PAINT IS PUT ON, VERY INPORTANT OR YOU WILL GET BLOTCHY SPOTS. any questions you can email me. i'm learning as i go and you find ways to improve as you go. good luck:supz:
this me last year when i first found the model group, it's call monster attack team canada.
