I know some people might want to get toys who is impossible to get/buy from Singapore, be it new or old series.

Personally, I don really mind troublesome process to get my precious stuff I wanted, be it Yahoo Japan/HK.

For buying from Yahoo Japan, my only method is Rinkya, must have credit card, to verify your card, in www.rinkya.com, it state that your card will have to deduct small amt as deposit (which is actually not true), mian purpose is just to verify your card status.

For Buying from HK Yahoo, here's the steps which I know that 90% of ppl will get turn off.....
But it's good to ppl like me, who diedie..by hook or by crook, want to buy that toy...

Most of my DBZ toy around 30% bought using the following steps from Yahoo HK

1. Create a Yahoo HK account, then verify your account thru your mobile number, this is like receiving code when you do OCBC banking.

2. Once yahoo account activiated, it's a plus if you can type chinese on FAQ for seller's item FAQ

3. Ask them whether want to ship to Singapore, EVEN THOUGH they already stated they DON want to ship overseas. My experience is 50% chances they will ship.

4. Comes to payment, see their rating, when deal established, email them for contact number and their address.

5. If you don know how to speak BUT can understand cantonese, when you call them, just tell them 1st....they can speak cantonese, while you reply to them in chinese...confirm both side can understand, unless your cantonese cannot make it....

6. Once got their address and total cost including shipping, it may sound stupid and unsafe to many ppl, but till now I have no problem with my money MISSING.

Note that, you have to communicate with the seller, whether to send S$ or HKD$, but most time they prefer HKD$, therefore just go to money changer to change HKD$

7. Registered air mail to HK takes 5 days, with tracking code, inform seller the code, and you need to instruct seller to email you once they got your money else you may automatic call seller

How to paackage money?
Simply just wrapped your money in a A4 paper, THEN put it into envelope, so that dollar note cannot be seen. When posting in post office, if post staff ask what is it, just say, document.

8. Once seller got money, tell him to email you the tracking code, after he sent your item.

9. Air mail registered takes 3-5 days, while EMS HK takes 2-3 days.

Conclusion:

Actually, phone commuication takes more work, rather than converting currency or mailing money to them.

Once deal completed, you are actually automatically getting yourself a HK toy supplier, cos my experience is even when you buy from HK + shipping, item still reach your side faster than Singapore....

When you have a HK supplier, sequence transaction would be easiler and smoother....

For me, I have no choice, but to use this method cos DBZ market is small in Singapore.

Cos common toys which you collected, if can get from Singapore, it's still better to get it locally.

To me, finding your missing collection is definitely tough and not easy, but the moment you received your precious toys, the moment of joy, could not easily described in any words

Shipping cost from HK to Singapore
1st Kg = HKD$85 regiestered air mail
after which every 0.5kg = HKD$13

Expensive????...NOT at all...

Yes...Jap is simply exp.....but I believe if we happen to speak normal and type simple Jap, those Jap seller still willing to ship to Singapore, just the same method, send Yen to them.....

The only problem is that we know that Japanese...

Like Miracle mentioned, my method actually applied to Yahoo Taiwan too...why...only cos we speak chinese...that's all..

btw, MP-06 released and selling in Yahoo HK..price quite reasonable.

Can try Celga for Yahoo Japan. It works the same way as Rinkya, but charges are lower.

While dealing with Yahoo HK/TW sellers, I normally ask the sellers whether they willingly to deal with oversea buyer and accepting cash on delivery.

I'll always inform him in advance that I'll be holding responsible if the cash is lost during delivering in order to make the seller feels that I'm a responsible, sincere and reliable buyer :)

So far, I've not met any problems till now. No missing items or any issues while dealing with overseas sellers.

And they really act fast after receiving our $$$. Within 1 week, I can received my parcel. The fastest I've received is within 2-3 days :D

Just have a sort of feelings. 85% of Japanese sellers in Yahoo Japan are not willing to deal with oversea buyers. Are they too lazy to check the parcel price for oversea buyers or being selfish to deal with their own country mates only

Logically, it still can be seen if they scan the envelope through their machine.

I heard that u can wrap them with carbon paper. That will totally block the scanning.

I don't think they scan letters. I tried that with DHL also can get thru. :)

I dun think that they will re-stricts you for sending them out even though they knew that there are cash in yr letter. It is for your own risks anyway although the Post office did mention that no cash are allowed in the letter/parcel etc...

yea some sellers does send overseas although they state no shipping overseas in there auction. i do it in ebay, asking sellers if they willing to send overseas, most of them are willing to do it as long as you ask them clearly how much u need to pay and what are the things both parties need to be responsible for. another good thing is PayPal, reliable and fast. :D

beware some sellers cheat off oversea buyers from shipping fees.

I have some japanese friends and we do business together, I think first of all the comminication problems (we don't know japanese and they don't know chinese, even though their english is not good.) And second, the local market already big, they don't need to spend the time to clearify the address and receiptance in different language for they'll worry if sending to wrong ppl or address.
Most of all the airmail and other courier services are really expensive...
That's why...
