anyone knows if we can go up the shears bridge there? I observe there are so call pavement for ppl to walk at the shoulder..and i know the shears bridge run is also held there..

but on normal day..or any point of time, are we (normal ppl) allow to walk up there via the pavement or wat ever u call that..?


Another thing..Any good suggestion or good hang out place for a grp of friends to eat, chillout...and at same time..not too Ulu..and of cos..price reasonable lor.. (think i ask once or twice before..)

AHM , Shears bridge run, etc commanly uses the Shears bridge. The organizers have seek traffic police's permission fro their events. But beware the heavy,fast moving traffic and unconnected pavement is not for the faint hearted and slow pokers. ;)

I believe Shears Bridge will be closed on the actual day of NDP cos of the fireworks.. but if u wanna walk up the bridge it can be done.. there is a pavement walkway at the side.. i see alot of people walking up and taking photos there.. maybe i should try taking photos there during one of the rehearsal..

Looks like during NDP, NE show and rehearsals are best and safer for those going up this bridge. I do not dare to go up this freaking Shears Bridge on normal days so more it is has a rather steep inclination, have to ciong up like AHM day.

I bet the bridge will be packed during the NDP. And the whole area will be blocked. during chinese new year i was working at marina square, they had fire works at near there, the whole city hall was blocked. :beatup: hard to move out fromt here~

Sometimes I feel Singaporean are pretty ........ for free "entertainment". Fireworks, flying fighter jets/helicopter and speeding boats, it is so repeative, that is sometime I dun like about NDP as I think it a "cut & paste" event.:beatup:
