shall we meet up for a leisure game of basketball say next wkend ? NO need to be veri pro/ good in e game lar. let's treat it as a informal gathering/ meet-up. get 2 knw each other etc.

how abt next SAT/ SUN morning/ afternoon ? we can meet at CSC and dwn 2 a basketball court near e area ? valuable inputs would veri much b appreciated.

Near to Amara Hotel, behind the market and HDB got basketball court. Then further down is Tanjong Pagar CC. Go early should be ok, afternoon sometimes got ppl use the court to play street soccer.

went CHINATOWN this aftern and searched thru e area.

Finally found an ideal basketball court : -

BLK 335B SMITH STREET - Level 5. (see map below)
It's above e CHINATOWN COMPLEX, where level 2 used to be the food stalls which r currently under renovation.

The basketball court is enclosed by fences, flooring and basketball board/ ring/ net is good - seems like no1 plays there.


Its abt 5 mins walk from CSC to SMITH STREET. we can stroll to CSC after tt.

so let's decide on e day and timing altogether ?

DAY : hw abt this coming SUN (6th MAY 2007) ?

TIME : Morning meet at 10am - CSC (entrance at SOUTH BRIDGE ROAD) ?

can oso ask fellow friends whom are keen to ve a leisure game.

other valuable suggestions would be appreciated. attendance to be confirm on e list for contact purpose.

yeah i was gonna tell people about this one... lol. good that kiradude post already. i once saw ppl playing from the other building... i cudnt find the entrance cuz i didnt know which building it was, haha... anyway i can bring a basketball along. not a problem.

since its going to be a warm-up/exercise event for most ppl, i would suggest bringing at least two bballs down as its gonna shooting hoops for most of the time. 6 ppl waiting for one ball can :cry:

yeah, I was keen but weekend is a bit difficult for me (family + golf day), unless that day happens to be "my visit to CSC" day since the venue is at CSC... ideally, would be great to play near my house but I know that's not possible since we've players all over S'pore... so, CSC is an ideal location... work wise, I've hectic schedules, however that's due to end soon in 1~2 mths time... I'll be able to clear my leaves soon, and might be able to join u guys in the weekend (since I can use the weekdays to attend to other matters)...

anyway, 3-on-3 is a nice group, can play half-court... I hope u guys keep up with the fitness & game, and hopefully, I'll be able to join u guys in the future... hey, ain't u glad u guys get started with some exercise? ;) btw, I got a pretty new basketball, will bring it along when I could play :)

PS: y1ch, I know I had expressed interest in the NBA thread, that's why I'm a bit paiseh to post here :red: however, I had been keeping track of this thread keeping my fingers crossed that I'd be available on the day itself
