SINGAPORE : A Singaporean woman who was on her way to Cameron Highlands died in an accident early Friday morning.
Her tour bus was travelling to the highland region 20 kilometres east of Ipoh when it collided with a container lorry.
The 40-year-old woman died after sustaining head injuries.
Three others were injured.
The remaining 20 Singaporean tourists on the bus escaped unhurt.
According to Singapore's Foreign Affairs Ministry, the body of the dead woman has been brought back to Singapore.
All Singaporeans involved in the accident have also returned.
It is believed that the lorry skidded and collided with the bus, which was travelling in the opposite direction.
The lorry driver has been detained for questioning. - CNA/ms
