View Full Version : SAF RSAF pilot "Major" disappering act
Dun know why this news so silent but it is being printed on the evening chinese newspapers. Yesterday at 7.00am a SAF Major ranking pilot went "missing". His car is parked at Bukit Batok Nature park car park with his handphone and wallet inside. A lot of uniform personnels are activited to find him...............:|
I went to cycle that the park today to see the activite there. I say SAF "really care for pilot" activited Gurka, K-9, SOF, National Park, Police, UAV, Guards and Navy divers (there is a quarry pond)to find this "Major"=D> ........... :| I wish he is ok......... "lost for more than 36 hrs in a nature park".:beg: :duh: L-)

Could there be a chance that he did something very serious that there is a need for such a big grp of ppl looking for him?
Basically sg's elite defense grps all there liaoz, the SOF, Guards, Gurkas(under saf too???), Navy, Police and even the personnels from Park...

Just heard over the news that the major has been found and well. But his whereabouts for the past 36hrs is still a mystery and his family refused to comment, hmmm.....
it's in the papers today... he gave his statement to the police... no comments from his family... I think we gotta wait a couple of days b4 we know anything concrete

Space ailens intrested in RSAF pilot meh? Or they implanted a egg whereby a chestbuster ailen is slowly eating its way though his body.
Anyway it is "good" that this stupid Major is found alive. Dun like the feeling of a death person in my neighbourhood park.:pray2:
eh koo, go explore that park.
maybe there's a cave with lotsa gold inside.

I dun think its that simple abt him missing. To activate sg's all possible elite forces, it cant be too simple also...
But then, if its something big, why would they so wayang so open say they get so many units to help find him...
Juz giv the guy a break..
I can onli say.. he has his own family, personal prob tat nt many of u here can deal wif.. :|

Stress induced epilepsy
In hanyupinying, its "Dian(1) Xian(2) Zheng(4)".
it's called ellipsy, I think... it's in the paper that he can't remember wht he did, where he went, during that period... reminds me of the movie MIB
It is very sad to see a "normal" person end up with all sorts of problem in some uniform service after serving years of service. It hard for him & the family too and I dare to say he got his wings clipped, "downgraded" to pilot instructor. :( I hope he get proper help to recover, dun like to see him go "missing or other stunts" at my nearby place.:pray2:

It kinda out of the "vaunted army medical system" capablitiy, 100% sure need to seek outside specialist treatment. I dun even trust the "Panadol" SAF issue, it dun work on me when I ran a few fever during my NSF days.:duh:

There is a number of people who wants the wings to be clipped like you mentioned. Better still, the bond is also automatically terminated should they find you unfit to fly and all these, is after you finished your free university education and free allowances. It's kinda a loophole in the contract which I was told when I was going thru the pilot selection. Some even find specialists to deem them unfit for flying sia...
A pilot in RSAF takes more than 1 year to be fully trained. The cost of training a pilot in RSAF is about more or less S$1,000,000++ depending if he has flying license beforehand or not.:o So pilot is not cheap to produce not to say a pilot instructor who likely have thousand of hours of flight.
