Leaving Singapore

Just like to make an announcement and inform all my friends here that I'm leaving Singapore,
as some or most of you already know that.

So it's confirmed, I'm leaving for Adelaide, South Australia.

My student visa and accommodations have all been approved.

I'm leaving on 26th September 2006 at 10.15pm.

Taking Marine Biology at Flinders U, 3 to 4 years,
depending on whether i get into Honours year.


Although I've been yakking about leaving Sillypore for the longest time,
and now that's it's a done deal, can't help but feel a bit sad..
recent vehicle accident notwithstanding.

I will miss..
(in no particular order of importance)
Food, friends, family and familiarity of country..
and of course, my various collections at home..

I will not miss the crazy taxi drivers that are Uniquely Singapore.

I will try to go down to CSC on the next few Sundays,
get a good feel of the place, talk to friends old and new..
and I will still be on the forum of course, once i get my 'net up and running.

then sometimes it's very lechey to cook also..

Jason might need some anthrax and the likes for experiments, so Leslie, will pass to him through you via an unsealed angpow.

If you are intending to pass anthrax to jdp, I suggest you do so personally to him before he leaves. As you know, the Trustee Regulations pursuant to the Trust Your Friend To Do A Sui Sui Job Act prevent me from forwarding harmful and/or hazardous and/or poisonous substances to the beneficiary.

That is why your envelopes must be unsealed, so I can check.

If you really do want to send him anthrax via my office as trustee, then you may leave the ang pow unsealed, but please make sure the anthrax is securely packaged in its own protective bag. Please also clearly label it “ANTHRAX” and “POISON” so that I can deal with it as necessary.

Went for a run last nite..

Had my first football game today with the student residents here..

Managed to score my first goal on Australian soil..
also managed to block a few certain goals..
one with a sliding tackle which brought quite a few cheers :red:

i realised that 3 years of inactivity really gets to you..
i was winded and coughing after my first run upfield..
now everything aching.. wah lan.. really got to train up.

but the air here.. damn song.. :thumbsup:

the serving was huge.. the fries so much i couldn't finish..
gave a lot to the seagulls..


I guess being a singaporean has it advantages..
our multilingual background has enabled me to make
friends(or at least talk to) from different language and ethnic groups..

my mandarin and other dialects may not be the best around,
but at least can communicate lah. :thumbsup:
