Planet Mars will bethe brightest in the night sky starting August. It will look as large as the full moon to the naked eye. This will cultimate on 27th August 2006 when Mars comes within 34.65M miles of Earth. It will look like the earth has 2 moons. Don't miss it......The next time Mars may come this close is in 2287.
* Note : Don't miss it and share this ith your friends and family members etc..., as NO ONE ALIVE TODAY will ever see it again......
Too bad no space mission to take advantage of the 34.65M miles distance. No space agency have news to fire probes to Mars recently. Anyone with a good telescope, I wish to see this.

If it's a moon, anywhere also can see. =))
Unless it's like meteor showers then need a dark place.

Btw it's 12.30am today.
But looking at the sky (cloudy) and considering the fact it's 初三, if you're lucky, you will still only see one "moon" coz the other will still be blocked by Earth's shadow or clouds. :(
Can anybody her c it??
I juz went to the windows to look.. nt even one mooon!!!! :bang: =))

It has been reported in the news that it is a hoax. The distance is 970 times that of the distance from Earth to Moon (correct me if I get the figure wrong), so at most it will appear like a normal star.

It would appear with the size of the Moon if Mars is proportionally larger than the Moon in diameter. =))
