but chang tian story feels more subtle than beidou.
chang tian seems to talk alot but character developement is solid :rock:

Got my Chuang Yi vol 14 yesterday.
Haiz ... I is a big Hokuto no Ken fan, but somehow still less than impressed wif Souten no Ken lei. Not enough action. And the costumes kinda suck. So far the Nazi Raoh's moves also like nothing special.

Still, wat to do ... the old Kenshiro's adventures all ended liao, now only got this left for us to follow :p

Not worth the wait. Now collecting only for the sake of it. Storyline still boring, action still thin. No Southern Cross. Mr. Flying Swallow reduced to hanging about in a priest's cassock. Art style not suited to the chinese robes nor the western military uniforms.

Mentally given up on this liao. Only thing that could possibly revive my interest is some kick-ass fights and blood blood blood. Soon.

when cang tian story start, the main supposedly died already. that's y FONS kenshiro is name after him.

This story not as straight forward as FONS. FONS is just fight fight fight with v little story. Shoten is more character oriented. Reads more like the yakuza comis by the author. But kenshiro attitude still rox:supz:

brothers all.....cian tian just started coming out last year lah....not 5 years ago......there's at least 3 versions of FONS including this that I know of.....the original FONS, there's one in the samurai era (very unsuccessful compared to FONS) and now the cian tian series......I following this quite closely, but personally I think FONS is still the best, if talking abt character develop think FONS more focused.....only that its slower as it develops one character at a time, concentrating on Kenshiro of course.....

I only know that tetsuo hara started drawing this cang tian comics in 2001. i suspect in 2001 it has already been first released in Japan then. then maybe last yr Tong Li and Chuang yi manage to get the publishing rights for this cang tian.

Anyone here read biao han long xing b4? this is another old work of tetsuo also. the gal in this comics looks a lot like yu ling long from cang tian. The lead also look like kenshiro. cept that he got spiker hair than kenshiro.

Guys, I think if you want to discuss Hokuto no Ken, a separate thread should be started. This discussion could include the manga, the anime, the recent gaidens, Shin HnK etc.

While Cang Tian is a prequel to HnK, it is a separate comic and should be treated that way for discussion. Otherwise it will be very confusing and messy.

Not that I know of. I would rather they continue the HnK 200X line, because the Souten no Ken figures will be much more difficult to sculpt while keeping good articulation, due to the nature of the clothing. The flowing chinese robes, sleeves etc will be difficult to do well in a 3D poseable figure.

Anyway I find the HnK characters much more memorable than the SnK ones, so I'm not hard up for any figs.

BUt the author annouced in the editorial that SnK will be animated. So i guess it's just a matter of time before figs based on the anime is released. just keep you fingers crossed.

Wah finally finished arh.

I bought until like book 13 or what but then storyline draggy, art not fierce enough, characters not engaging enough, so stopped buying. Really regret not just borrowing from someone to test test. See lah just assumed that it would bring back all my Hokuto no Ken feeling in the end kena played out.

I'm keen to sell what I have, but who will want to buy an incomplete set :bang:

The plus point for this is the artwise is nicely drawn and swee:thumbsup: The female body is pretty well drawn, no doubt for it :red:

Storyline is quite crappy. Suddenly the fist of north star skill was origin to China and separated to 3 groups respectively under Shu, Wu & Wei's kingdom. :beatup:

Anyway, ending big sux. Dun have the origin HnK feels which is totally sux to the hell :bang: Hopefully, Revoltech doesnt brings in this mechandise in future..:evil:
