Just some filler questions for our fellow forumers to pose:
Would you go for the TPB or Singles? State the reasons for the choices....or you take both? me, i am the anal-singles collector aka rascal_father.(except variants covers). I also collect the zero, 1/2, 3/4,22 and 1/2 or -1 as well.

That depends, if for collection purpose, I'll go for singles, if only for leisure reading, then will go for TPBs. Bo bian, singles are getting more and more expensive nowsaday. :bang:

tpb means trade paper back. it a cheap way of compiling all singles issues into one paper cover(normally soft cover)

I like both...
TPBs - A definite beginning and a definite ending, without any missing issues in between...easier to bring around...more convenient for friends to borrow...looks terrific on the bookshelf because you impart the impression that you read a lot (until friends take a closer look and say: "WTF, they're comics!!")
Singles - Some of the best and most underrated comics probably won't become TPBs like Major Bummer, etc...it's easier to sample new stuff and if it's really good, then buying the TPB version is so much easier...the ads inside are a quick trip down memory lane especially for the old comics with the vintage toys and "cuting edge" video games...I grew up waiting month after month for fresh issues, kinda hard to stop now...it's nice to have a stack of fresh stuff next to a cold can of Coke and a pack of Doritos.
I think I have more singles than tpbs

Chard: i think you summed it up well for the advert in the singles. I was reading my old comics and taking a dump when i saw the true lies snes electronic game. woah that was really old.
10 years from now, the cutting edge game station platform seen in the current comics will be so passe that you cringe everytime you think that at that time you thought that it was the coolest thing next to naked babes. =))

Yo RascalF!
I know what you mean, I just re-read an old comic too with an ad for an Atari Star Wars lightsaber game and the graphics are lightyears behind what we're playing now.
Nothng beats the Hostess Fruit Pies ads!

I just picked up an old Iron Fist #3 comic last saturday that I used to own 1 more than 20 years ago, and I can tell you guys that the feeling is simply amazing, words can't describe it. To think that comic first came out in 75, that's 30 years ago.

TPB is cheaper to get, easy to keep....however, i still prefer the single one cos i like to turn every pages of it...the feeling is different from TPB...
