I m sure u guys own some bootleg tfs in ur collection..Tell us wat u haf and hw u feel abt it..The quality,the rarity(duh) and more.. :D

I myself got 3 bootleg tfs..Doubledealer,Quickswitch and Six Train..

For Six-Train i tink it can be commonly found in alot of places..The quality i can say it sux(well it's a bootleg afterall)..He's the 1st bootleg i bought as i wanna see hw a bootleg tf is like.. :red:

Doubledealer is my next bootleg tf(KO's which 'affectionately' oso known as) as i heard pretty gd reviews abt it..Went all the way to AMK central to look for it..After buying it i muz say it's much much better than Six-Train..In terms of quality(better material used) and looks of it..I tink i owned this bootleg Doubledealer too when i was a kid.. :laugh:

Last of the lot Quickswitch..The paintwork sux and quality is inferior to those of the bootleg Doubledealer..But as a display pc he still can make it lah.. =))

So wat abt u guys? :mrgreen:

I got myself the following:

- Devastator
- Defensor
- Bruticus (Car Robots 2000 version)
- Triple Changers
- Six-Wing
- Headmaster Mindwipe
- Powermaster Double Dealer
- Star Saber

One thing to comment abt the combiners & triple changers is that the plastic materials are very inferior. Had some parts broken, thus either not able to combine or transform into certain modes. Sigh :angry:

For Mindwipe, some of the parts are wrongly assembled, eg. its legs. After remedied, it's able to transform like the original version and it comes with a mini headmaster too :)

Double Dealer is a fine piece and fun to play with :)

Of cos, nothing beats Star Saber whose parts are used to replace some of the missing parts for my loose Star Saber. The bootleg Star Saber rocks too and it can be fully transformed as per the original version. Comes with the brainmaster and the sword as well ;) Bad thing abt this is his gun, comes in chrome silver. The original piece is grey.

All around oso have, noteably those neighbourhood shops that sells random stuff, and hang all sorts of cheapo toys outside their shops. More famous ones would be the rocher road Sin Tat Toys, or departmentals like Taka and Metro.

Main problem of getting bootlegs is that they have random appearances. Not all shops will have all the ones in the market, and we never know what's coming next or have already appeared.

Actually KO Mindwipe was out way before KO Star Saber. Bought this at J8 Seiyu and at time, nobody was getting it. Since there is a little headmaster with it, that's why I decided to get this piece. Note that the weapon that comes with it is not the original weapon and also does not fit it, thus I threw it away.

There's also some flaw in the arms (er.... not legs). Meaning that its right arm was fixed on its left & vice versa. Luckily I have the Kabaya Mindwipe, thus understood the actual transformation. That's why I was able to remedy it. Do take note if you happen to get this piece ;)

Limited Clear Generation 1 Optimus Prime KO

Seems there are a number of Generation 1 Optimus Prime knock-offs going around lately. The G1 remake, black and gold versions were not much new from what we have seen until now. Ebay seller Liqdeal has posted an auction featuring a transparent G1 Prime that is just like the legendary Lunch Time Special. From the cab to the trailer, only visible difference is these wheels are clear aswell. Limited to 500 made, get a look at the auction and grab one before the sell out.

A while back Seibertron.com site owner Seibertron reported that certain eBay auctions were being removed by HASBRO, Inc.. Now reports are coming in that eBay is removing all listings for knockoff Transformers put up for auction or buy it now sale.

Could this be HASBRO finally taking action against the KO problem that has infested the TF market for so long? Is this eBay taking action on their own to prevent the sale of possibly fraudulent items? Right now its anyone's guess.

GenZhao of our 2005 Boards has shared some images of some new Binaltech Knockoffs by A&L. All three KOs bear police themed decos - Meister (Jazz) is based on a Chinese police car, while Shockblast / Shockwave is based on a Korean police car. Dead End rounds out the trio, with a deco that rather than being based on a real police car, is based on Barricade from the live action movie.

We would like to remind our readers that these are unofficial imitations of Hasbro and Takara-Tomy's products and are not subject to the same rigorous safety and quality checking procedures that an official Transformer toy would be subject to.

An auction has appeared on Taobao.com for a Knockoff of Transformers Animated Bumblebee. This KO of Bumblebee lacks some of the features of the official version, is made in either orange or yellow, and is oversized - in vehicle mode, he is roughly in scale with an Alternator.
