where to buy comics?

where's a good place to buy angmoh comics?
so far all the places i went to the prices seem to be on the higher side.
or is it the standard price of comics to be $6~$8 per vol?
so far i've chked out the shop at bugis junction, alaric's, the shop inside popular at orchard met and comicsmart.

never got started on comis because of the prices. [-X

dio: i think all prices of ang mo comics had increase, that's the sad fact.(Marvels and DC increase the price) we are not the only one complaining about the price hike. Their people there are also doing the same. Thus because of this, I had been very selective about buying english comics and only weening my appetite on the selected few titles.

I think most single issue has the cover price of less than USD3, which shouldn't be more than SGD5plus. But certain mini series does cost more. I agrees that prices of english comics are definately getting more expensive with each passing year. Alternatives would be to get TPBs since they reprint almost everything in TPB form or can borrow from libraries.

You can try GB Comics @ Bras Basah.

But nowadays, I get TPB from Book Kino, especially during the 20% discount period. Of cos, there's a risk of them not available during the 20% discount period ;)

actually i'm interested in all the game-> comics titles like udon's street fighter, darkskstalkers, IDW's MGS, The Legend of Huma, The upcoming dragonlance comics etc

but never bothered to collect them cos the issues are rather ex.

Kino brings in tpb but not from the more obscure companies like udon. i mangaed to get the streetfighter tpb from comikart but too bad they stopped.

now the huma tpb coming out somemore include the 6th vol i think i'll stick to the tpb :D

No prob, bro! Check out Kino or your fave local comic shop, I think the second Street Fighter tpb is already out but it's quite small and easy to miss if you're not scoping out the shelves carefully.
