Car Display case [Archive]

recently i find that i run out of display space very fast... so hv a idea to stack it all up but able to see clearly.

I saw many of those 2 to 3 steps display (ie different level of base within 1 display case) costing $20-30... however the base is always colored which i dont want since light cant pass thru.

anyone know where to get all clear display boxes that is deep enough to display at least 3 rows of say Tomicas cars?

Go to Bras Bas complex find this shop called Acrylic place (dun know the shop name correct but starts with acrylic something). They pro in doing the display you want for a price.:D

Do you mean something like theW800? It wont fit many tomicas given your big collection you know..

thks Koo .. but i dont want to pay a bomb for it leh.. rather use the money buy more cars.. hehe

starscream.. not really like that, what i want is something i seen in action city and in china sq, where a size clear case then inside got a 3 step base.. however the base is not clear color.. and i want it clear as i will stack it up at least 2-3 of it.. so light can pass thru to the buttom.

i running out of space la, need some efficient display method..

THe Acrylic place have reasonable priced acrylic clear display which you discribe. You should try calling them or pay a visit to see for yourself. They are the people you can trust when it is acrylic display you are talking.

i think the model is W800 or something. Should be able to get from Action City. Saw once not very long ago at Action City Bugis Junction branch :thumbsup:

We talk about model cars so much.. let's discuss about model car display solution...

I have a IKEA cupboard and I try to maximise the space.. so now I am thinking of getting this:

U may try Daiso which is located at IMM..There are various types of display cases at an affordable $2ea..Only thing is i am not sure if it fits the model cars which u collect..Perharps u can take a look there if u happen ti pass by there..I myself bought quite a few and it realli saved mi alot of display space..:)

U already have an ikea cabinet, so i suppose what you are looking for are acrylic steps to display them nicely right? If thats the case i dun suggest u get the display case in the auction link you provided as the gap between the cover and the top tier is wasting too much space.

What model of ikea cabinet are you using? A pic would help.

dont get glass.. can see dirt very easily.. hv to wipe it all the time..

anyway i just clear another cupboard (Ikea's billy) and got a glass door.. once fix with lights then I gonna have more space!!

9pm-1am clearing it, fixing the lights, and organizing the cars.. yet cant finish so hv to stop and continue over the wkend.

ya.. gonna get the plastic 3 step clear case later.. need a few.. a guy in ebay sell $16.. maybe get from him.

bought the Yellow and red...the display cases are from Daiso..$2 each....i just hotmelt glue the car to the base

hi viwen, where do you get those long dispplay case for your caravan collection? i'm looking for such case with this kind of length. I went to Dasio and bought 1 which I never realise that the length is not long enough to house my Disney Sega figure. How much is it?
