Comics Professor

There was a report few years back that Taiwan have a Comics Professor. He's quite old now and keeps around 11000+ comics if I am correct (should be mostly Jap manga). His display was shown on TV.

Come to think of it, its not much compared to jusgod. Or isit bcos manga takes longer to collect due to the pace, and thats why he can be called professor?

He owns 11000 of titles or quantity? If title, I doubt 二當家 definitely losing him liao :prayer:

If quantity, still can compete lar but I can sees that most of Jus's collection is more into HK 1 wasn't it. If u really counts the quantity vol by vol for HK wkly types, it is so easy for Jus to consolidate to hit that amount within few yrs time.

Thats why, at that time when I saw it, it really is very :shock: . Dun think is HK, most likely Japan and Taiwan because he had many shelves just like in a library and they are thick books. Its 11000+ in quantity.

But after knowing jusgod's collection, its much more, so one day you may get published in zaobao and be the envy or others! =D>

In fact, the 陈人杂志 ever request to shot my collections some years back through a friend but i turn them down.... [-X don't want too much publicity that time :wink:

If its me, most likely will turn down also, because it can be seen as wanting to show-off. Some people really call personally to get publicised. Unless it can be potrayed in a good manner, but I can't explain how too :))

Hk about one hundred titles since 1981. jap about 500 titles since 1988. Jap got much more as there is really a enormous variety compare to Hk. Somemore they are much shorter rang from 1-60 issues to complete story.

How come HK only 100 titles? I thought they have more than that? 80's seems to be the boom for HK comics, but I was still playing marbles at that time :rock:

My longest JAP is also Jojo, but there is a 烏龍派出所, close to 100 issues already, really long life. You didn't collect?

烏龍派出所 when the taiwan version out is toooo far below the Jap version, so i did not collect and also worry about the risk on the storyline, doesn't looks tooo interesting to me :(

100 titles just an estimate. In fact, i did not collect every single single title, else will end up in woodbridge liao. But i do collect every single 1st issues for the past 15years, think about 200++ No.1 titles i own :mrgreen:
