Looks like the hooded white costumed guy in the spread page of IC #7 is indeed Captain Marvel. I was thinking since the Wizard Shazam was killed by Spectre, could it be that Billy Batson will take over that role while Captain Marvel Jr will be promoted to become Captain Marvel since we can see him wearing the red costume in that spread page too.

Howard Porter's art style seem to have evolved, it looks completely different from his JLA run, very fine and fluid, like manga style.:thumbsup:

Is that painted art by Porter? If it's not, it does look like painted art, very nice.

After getting used to the way his pencils looked on comics like JLA, Fantastic Four and The Flash, fans of Howard Porter's work are going to have to get used to his work all over again.

Anyone who's seen the previews for August's Trials of Shazam has noticed there's something different about Porter's art. The lines are more blended, the inks are less defined and the colors almost come across as paint or oil pastels.

The 12-issue Captain Marvel maxi series being written by Judd Winick, which will debut as a preview story in June's Brave New World, promises to redefine the whole Marvel family. But it seems to be redefining Howard Porter's art as well.

Newsarama sat down with Porter to talk about what he's doing differently, why he chose to debut the new style in Shazam, and what it means for his artistic future.

The style is similar but his art is better during the JLA run. But seems like his art style for his Shazam series is totally different from his previous style.

It seems like the first few issues are focusing more on Cap Marvel Jr than on Cap Marvel himself.

captain marvel appeared in 52 series, week 12, he was constantly talking back to the seven sins around him...like on the edge of sanity...

Yeah, he's now the new caretaker of the Rock of Eternity after the death of the wizard Shazam. He's the best man of Black Adam at Black Adam/Isis wedding. I didn't know that the meaning of Shazam for Black Adam is different from Marvel. Black Adam's definition is the names of Eygtian Gods while Marvel's is Greek Gods.

Picked up the first issue yesterday. In the last page, when Captain Marvel tried to change back to Billy by shouting Shazam, instead of changing back after the lightning struck, he stays as Captain Marvel but looses his colours and turned white, and it's not only his costume, his whole body turned white too, like an albino.:o
