To keep this forum running well, please try to follow these simple rules to prevent any undesirable actions. While these guidelines cover most common situations, we cannot anticipate everything. Subsequently, we reserve the rights to take any actions we deem appropriate to ensure these forums are not disrupted or abused in any way.
Post Constructively
Do remember that Hobbyhype is essentially a forum, not an instant messaging (IM) system, so please refrain from non-constructive posts or quick replies such as (“I like this”, “PM me”, “wah hahaha…”, “This is good” or posts which contain only smilies). They will be deemed as spam and deleted without notice.
Search Before Posting
Do also search for a particular topic before starting a thread so that it will reduce the number of repeated topics on Hobbyhype that have to be merged or deleted.
Even if there are no similar topics that you could find, you can still try search engines like Google, Yahoo, MSN etc…for some specialized topics before posting something that may be non-constructive.
Just remember that forum members like to contribute and share information with each other, so please make an effort to search for available information.
Edit your post
If you need to add on to your post after you have posted, please use the “Edit” function instead of replying as a new post. We do not encourage spamming in this manner.
Do not spam
It is one of the worst net etiquette. If more than half of your posts are less than 5 words, it annoys people having to click here and there moving through the forums.
Advertising, spamming, harassing and trolling is not allowed. This includes using the private message system to spam other members. Please do not post duplicate replies all over the place and always posting in the wrong forums.
Do not flame
While debating and discussion is fine, please do not be rude and put up insulting posts or personal attacks, nobody likes that. If you want to curse and swear at people, threaten, abuse and hurt them mentally, please stay away, control or do it elsewhere.
For comparative conversations about any related issues, it is most welcomed, but be constructive and avoid blatant bashings.
Do not degrade
We are not a place for sharing of adult, illegal or pirated contents. Please do your promotions elsewhere. Any threads that are deemed inappropriate would be deleted by the MODs without notice. Always feel free to PM any MODs when in doubt. Or do something different, change for the better.
Multiple accounts
Hobbyhype treats the issue of members holding multiple accounts very seriously, as it is a form of cheating on fellow members for whatsoever reasons. Members will be placed on permanent ban if Hobbyhype finds out that they are holding multiple accounts.
Sensitive content
Anything posted in this forum that is racist or religious will be removed without notice. While a certain degree of political content is allowed, we will also remove content that may possibly lead to negative effects.
Giving Credits
If any of the posts you make contain photographs, pictures, information etc...from other sites, kindly give credits to the original owner by posting their name and website. If you are unsure whether photographs can be used, please email the owner before extracting and posting in Hobbyhype.
Golden Words (for healthy discussions)
Do not do unto others what you don't want done unto you.
己所不欲,勿施于人.
