Free Comics Day in US

Read in Zaobao that in Us, they have this free comics day to mark as a tribute to comic shops there for supporting the industry. All comics shops distribute comics FOC with a great selection of titles and its a special work by the authors.

How good it is if the culture is brought over to Asia. :)

rooki:they actually encourage the diversity of readership rather then just reading the usual wolverine or batman titles. when i pop back at the local plc to get my addiction. the good people at the stall will drop in another free comic for reader. the event is a win win for upcoming comic artist and readers. artist benefit from the exposure of their arts to the reader and reader sampling diversity. that's my observation and there could be more pros and cons out there.


and btw the shop keeper can clear some of their holding stocks

I see, but its good that its an industry effort.

Currently for HK, you only get free issues from JD once in a while for promotion, although you still have to purchase something. 8-)
