I find ROTK getting more and more detailed with each release. It seems like the player is getting too involved in very policy, internal affairs, recruiting, intelligence and even battles making the ruler a little too busy in the game... hehe...:D

But its still attracting me because of the historical characters... Cool.. favorite general is Zhao Yun..

in fact, 2 and 3 was also dos-based.

Me playing this game till expert level already.....one simple tips is to snatch

Still can win, just need additional step to knock down the war or use some tricks to lure opponent out:cry:

YES, play the year where Zhang Jiao still around, if you got great patience, get into that city I recommended, till Zhuge Liang born, Jiang Wei is optional.

Normally, I play this game till left no one, then I complete the game, then you will know how tough this game is, else if completed within 10 years, no fun at all....right?

therefore, "New" dream combination can be as follow

1. Zhuge Liang/Cao Cao(as ruler)
2. Guan Yu
3. Sima Yu
4. Zhang Jiao
5. Lu Bu/Pang Tong

How you play, nvm...BUT please grab 平原或江洲asap.

ALL THE WHILE, I'M REFERRING TO 三国志X 加强版 NOT 三国志X.

When in 三国志X 加强版, the hardest year is AD250, where ALL PPL are still alive including 张角 all the way till the last general in 三国

Each ruler in AD250(cos it include ALL ruler from beginning till the end) only have 1 province = 1 state, meaning to say for eg. Cao Cao at AD250, he only got 1 state, but got 1st generation general to last generation general around 150++ general in a single state.

therefore, playing AD250 ONLY in 三国志X 加强版 is possible

Don play play, if you think you are smart, try play AD250, select the hardest mode, normal 三国志X only got till 高级 mode, but in 三国志X 加强版, got super 高级 mode.

If you play that mode + AD250 in a year, you will know computer is way smarter than you, therefore in this critical 1 year duration, you must grab those 2 state I mentioned earlier, 平原 in AD250 is already occupied, therefore leaving unoccupied 江洲。

How to get those dream team:
Building in these sequence:

1st build relationship with Zhang Jiao cos he normally the 1st to be killed by other ruler

2nd bujild relationship with LuBu, cos normally to be the 2nd to be killed

3. Build relationship with sima Yi(he's not under Cao Cao in AD250, he got his own state), cos normally to be the 3rd to be killed normally by cao Cao

4. If playing Liu Bei, get Zhuge Liang/Jiang Wei to be sworn brother of Liu Bei, and to hell to all Liu Family by sending them to die in war, leaving rulership to Zhuge Liang

5. Pang Tong is default in Liu Bei state, therefore no trouble.

Forget abt Lu Xun/Zhou Yu

I don normally knock down gates, when you get 江洲, then you will know the famous battle 陆逊火烧蜀军七百里。 using the power of fire, I win all battle 1000%, with less than 10% damage of my total army force.

worth playing...normal mode is boring.

In my playing record, my best combination for battle is

1. Zhuge Liang - advisor + 法术 + 内讧
2. Sima Yi - advisor + 法术+ 内讧
3. Cao Cao - Advisor+ 内讧
4。 Pang Tong - advisor + 法术 + 内讧
5。 Guan Yu - main role: attack with brain



No.1 to 4, stay back end, only no.5, fight front end against 10万敌军, confirm won die if you know how to play using those backend advisor.


All ultimate winning effect using only 藤甲或近尉兵 for all general for all battle, you confirmed win with proper usage.

btw, 城门 are NOT meant to be break, instead you climb over it.

指挥is a very important command.

If using LuBu, just give him either 1st choice: 虎豹骑 else 2nd choice:蛮族兵
DON give him 弓兵或藤甲兵。。。。he sucks in using both these 2 types....and these 2 type soldier died like "rain god"(translate to hokkien) especially 藤甲兵
藤甲兵 is weak against fire + Lu Bu utlimate stupid, in 2 round, he will be gone with the wind....

Follow the below step:

1. take over 河内
2. fully develope the state to Mega City
3. Spend lots of money on 交易.

1 common thing I forget abt Sima Yi/Pang Tong/Zhuge Liang/ZhangJiao is that they have HEALING skill, that's why I include them in the team.

ZhugeLiang have already appear by that year. he'll be in either Xion Shi, Ru Nan or Xing Ye

Sima Wei will be travelling all over the cities on the map. so if you really can't find him then try thease two cities. i normally find Zhuge liang there. the first city is Xiao Shi, then Xing Ye. if still don't have then you really need to up your reputation. reputation need to be at 900-1000 when you want to find Zhuge Liang.

in xian ren category there's no hidden charector. unless you unlock all the even that happen in the game then you got a hidden charector unlock.:evil:

i have XI for a while now still trying to cope with the story line and tell you the truth the XI is much difficult to play and have a lots of thing to do. normally you don't have enough time to complete your task...especially when you want yo conquer Zhong Yuan.:evil:

I prefer XI to X because of the general speical abilities and how we can mix and match the skills to for a good '3 man strike force'. ha. However, it's better if there are more skills.

And finally, ladies like Diao Chan are now playable. Unrealistic, but I like it. :laugh:

i think the hardest charector to play is Lui Bei, he got nothing in the begining and very very hard to form alliance. so what you can do is after you conquer Bei Hai, focus on you defend and equip a lot os bow soldier.

Another good thing about XI is the looks of the famous generals change - one 'young' version and one 'old' version. Like Huang Zhong started with black beard, then become white. :supz:

i know bow soldier don't make impact compare to other like horse or foot soldier, but they are most efficient in defending you castle. first you need to train them to the max, next when other lord attack you send all your bow soldier out to war. put them under the general that have the tactic fire arrow. then put all the bow soldier on the wall of your castle. you see the different when your opponent got hit by them. 1 more thing is morale must be high as well.

Who are you playing as? if liu bei, use zhang fei and guan yu to challenge him to personal combat if you dont have the troop strength to engage him? or use '混乱' stun him. He is quite stupid, easily stunned.

i'm using Cao Cao lah, there's no one that strong enough for personal combat. and if i stunned him also he have Chen Gong and Jia Shiang to help him some more i have to deal with ZhangLiao and Gao Shun. now i'm just defending my privince from him and concerntrate all my militality power on Lui Bei and Yuan Shao.

she not really Cao Cao's daughter, i just plan the wedding for Lu Bu and he'll be very very loyal to you. the best way is to get your hand on Diao Chan and married her to LuBu.
this is not practical.......when your recruited Chai Yan then you try to get Lu Bu to join your army then married Chai Yan & Lu Bu, this make Lu Bu loyalty 100 and won't drop. :evil:
i try it many time and it work for me...(silently)...this is a bug..;)
