Dun know why Jet Li dun want to act in Kung Fu movies anymore? I think he dun what retire when he is still "fit" at 43 before ending up like Jacky Chan. I never got to know until a few days ago that he is ex Shaolin. The movie's english name is very lousy "fearless", producers very lazy to think of a name for it in English? Anyway i going to catch the movie at the 26th.;)
got to miss his kung fu movie...next time can only watch back old movie....i like jet li's fighting...always clean and "poof" powerful!!

Looks like the asians are famous only for their fighting styles kinda of movies.
But jet Li has really cool fighting moves.

I heard from my fren that Jet Li decided to goes back to Shaolin as he watch from the news before... Wonder whether this rumor is true anot :thinking:
Hollywood only recognised his fighting skills. If he not going to film any action pack movies, what he gonna goes for?? Funny or hilarious movies like Stephen Chow??? [-X
he is going to do documentary on buddhist...he mentioned in the press release recently....i think he'll stil remain in the entertainment ind...just that he not acting any fighting show anymore....:|

Fearless can be considered Jet Li's best film. It sort of sum up all his previous films. Every skills and weapons Jet Li practises are all showcased in this film, including his famous 3 segment staff which are rarely seen in most of his films.
The only drawback is that the length of this film is being edited from a 2 hr plus show to only 1 1/2 hr show. The reason being that the Director felt that the show may be too lengthy for the western audiences. Parts that are edited away were Michelle Yeoh's part and the fighting scenes where Jet Li fought against a Muay Thai boxer in a rural village.
I just hoped that all these cut scenes will be included in the DVD release. Or better still, release a Director's Cut version.
I think Jet Li has express interest in join the Bejing 2008 games (hope to have Wushu). He got high hopes in medals if it is going to be true Wushu is going to be introduce for the 1st time. Anyway i thinking of buy it in DVD when it comes out if it is not expensive.

Just watch this great movie with my fren today. This is definitely the best movies by Jet Li compared to all his earliest works :thumbsup: Nothing more to say =D>
Well, the story shows from his childhood till he grown up where he was so arrogant and cocky... Till he loses his family, his life and attitude have changed. I won't be a spoiler here, just goes and watch this movies :supz:
Comments - This show is abit bloody and violence sometimes. No wonder is a NC 16 rated movie :thinking: If u r emotional, might bring out yr tears in the end of the match where Huo Yuan Jia earns his honour death by all Chinese including his opponent from Japan :salute: Feels like shouting "Huo Yuan Jia" in the end also :laugh:
Rating - 9/10 Just watch it and u knows :) Might considered getting this DVD if there is an uncut ver released in future where the director cut's out Michelle Yeoh's part :thinking:
News - Though some of u might already known this but just post here anyway. Well, Jet Li will still be filming action movies in future but no more wushu movies like Huo Yuan Jia, Zhang San Feng etc... At first thought that he gonna quits all action/wushu movies, but it's great that the news are incorrect :phew: At least we could still sees his action pack stunts :D

Is there a cut??
One part which I think can put in more details and slightly longer is the route to becoming 民族英雄. Basically its only the defeat of that big westerner. :)

I thinks should show more details on the part where how Huo Yuan Jia learnt his skills and how he father passed away were never mentioned in the show :(
And I finds it abit similar with Tony Jaa's movies as new opponents keep appearing once he defeated them :|
i think got hope DVD release a special uncut edition one...if got then steady liao

If only his first 3 opponents came with higher standard of skills, things might be difference liao. The 3 of them are just likes a clown to Huo Yuan Jia

It was written in the papers that he capture most of the life of Huo Yuan Jia. Its only the part where he died on stage is not true.
In fact the last fight nothing much to lok forward to, its what happened before that worth watching :D

For local 1, the dvd package quite nice. Nearly bought it but I still waits for the uncut ver :) Since this will be the last wu shu movie of Jet Li, can't they just release the full ver for us?? :( So stingy for what ....

Does the staff knows about the Michelle Yeoh scenes anot? If dun know, he definitely will says uncut ver 1.

Don't trust the TS sales persons. Totally no product knowledge. Always look here for info. I will surely update this thread once I cfm find the uncut version. I'm a huge fan of Jet Li. This DVD cannot miss.:yeah:

I never saw them in local yet. Usually, I'll visits the shop(very big shop) at lvl 1 located in Funan centre. They usually have those great HK imported dvd over there :) But too bad, not yet seen the HK ver over there :(
But this is definitely a must buy for me, hopefully got the uncut ver of Michelle Yeoh scenes :pray2:

This movie is wonderful. The only thing I didn't like is that they cut out alot of good stuff from here. If they are coming out with the uncut version...wait and get that one. After having read the story about the main character on the Fearless website about how fighting a Thai boxer changed his views on fighting and how he learned new fighting techniques, I have to say I was a bit disappointed that the DVD version had this particular and important fighting scene cut. I still give the movie 10 stars because the edit (cut) was done so well that the story remained well-told—not to mention that all the fight scenes were incredible.

Yeah, Michelle Yeoh and a Thai boxer scenes... Actually, I'm not so sure about the HK ver really got the uncut scenes anot leh :thinking: Mostly likely doesn't have which I guessed :(

I ahve been keeping a lookout for the uncut ver. But no news yet. Maybe it's the sales gimmick, make consumers buy 2 copies. But I don't mind since this is a Jet Li's film, otherwise I sure grumble....:)

i like the last part where he actually didn't hit the final killer blow on that japanese contestant.... Quite a touching and action movie...
