Super Band will be coming soon.. At least, this is something special which I'm looking forward to after superstar. Better hopes that there are some potential group bands appeared in Singapore

Super idol, host etc... they are craps... :(

That show(whats the name huh?:thinking: ) still ok coz it doesnt come that frequently and it serves the bigger grp of english speaking ppl here. Then came the Channel U version on the Superstar with that Wei Lian and Kelly. That one i also still can accept, coz its only fair that there is a pure chinese contest lor.

THEN in came all the other languages, what super host, super campus, super idol.
U tv producers!!! U really think the tv watchers are stupid money givers huh?!:angry:

Superband still ok for me lah... At least more different, not solo. We can sees how well the band can plays their guitars, electric guitar, drums etc... Hopefully, not only sings nia w/o any instruments playing.

I totally agree! All these "Super" series is getting too much. They think that they are leveraging on the hype right now, but it just make some people like me bored. I did watch the Superstar when it was aired and found it quite nice. The current ones are so draggy that they take 20mins to announce 1 person disqualified. L-)

My personal feel is that people who are really into bands will not go for this type of competitions as the commercial element surrounding it is too strong. And imagine they have to compete with those without instruments, who may just know a few odd dances. L-) L-)

Yah, real good bands wouldnt want to go on this show coz its quite degrading to them.
Bands will want to attain fame through live performance and earn their fans through music. TV appearances and all the tv ads, thats too commercialise liaoz. U see which rock band like that? Not those i know of lor. Many bands in Japan will rather choose to disband than to abandon their indies label for a major label. They dun get to scream on stage, do the middle finger or smash their drums and guitars. Which rock band will not want to do all that lah.:rock: :drum: :sing:
Even 5566 and F4 had gone through the hard way before gaining to gain their fame and status now.
They really think one LC contest can kick up a grp of ppl to fame.=))

I can foresee pretty faces winning this contest AGAIN. Maybe they will have that bit of skills lah, but not consider talent yet.
The local tv producers really need someone to knock on their head to wake up their idea.

Be professinal cele is hard, Singapore is not place to be one. Market is "saturated" by old poke-face like Mark Lee. Singapore "real" bands all go pub and nightcubs to earn their keep than to spend time to particpate on Super Band (Super Ban). Imagine go to wake up when your work hours are at night and long wait to compete with "noobs". They rather sleep or spend time at home with friends or family.:D

Anyway Singaporean celebraties which make a name for themselves dun start out from Singapore or they never will be "famous" through the local ways.

That rapper in red is the atmosphere raiser. Mixer not bad too. Bassist quite attention catching. Drummer quite fast. The chinese vocalist not too bad also.
Overall, i will say they have earn a ticket to the finals.=D>

Not bad looking for starter. Singing if can brush up, should be able to fight.

At least i feel its better than lucify. I noticed that lucify was better during the qualifying round. Was it coz of the equipment provided that caused it or maybe they really just gan chiong out and performed that badly...:thinking:

Noticed one thing too. Every instrument playing band uses the same drum set.:| If they had been practising, i think each drummer should have their own personal drum set, right? Did the organiser make the rule that everyone uses the same thing for time convenience purposes??? I think its quite unfair though. Some might have their own personal settings etc etc.

I will wonder how QI:NOBE can bring their performance to another level. Last wk's was already magnificent. They should try to be more innovative to stand out and shines further. (I am not surprise if one of them try to "moon" lor.=)) )

Lucify performed quite ok too..Well i gotta admit the best performers for the nite gotta be QI:NOBE..But i wun write off the other participants as it's still early in the competition..Now to wait till 11.30pm for the results..:D

K, tonight lucify's performance is safe, at least better than last wk's. Amber is not that bad too. Glamours, well... Shouldnt have problem getting through tonight bah, since their votes are more concentrated since they are the only gals grp in the whole compeitition. Can also see they made effort to design dance steps. But to really to be a threat, they must brush up singing liaoz...[-X
