Lost in Blue Faq

These are questions asked at Game spot and other forums, check to see if your answer is here.

I crossed the water where the tides happen, how do I get back?

Wait for the tides to go down.

Is this game as bad as a lot of reviews say it is?

Survival Kids has always had bad reviews since Survival Kids 1 on the GBC, most people instead of giving it a low rating would give this game 8/10 or 9/10. And a lot of people recommend this game to others.

Where’s the pot?

Up at the lake, at the top of the lake

What dose the pot do?

It’s used by the girl to cook and serve food. With it, sometimes it gives you 40% of hunger up.

I bet the game now what?

You get to play as Skye when you beat the game as Keith. Beat it with Skye to get...?

I want some recipes in my scrap book how do I do it?

"Cooking mode can be only played as Skye"

But before then, just pick up the ingredients and show them to her, hopefully she will make something for you.

Where’s the bow string?

There is a cave behind the waterfall. One of the exits leads to a jungle; bowstrings are actually the vines you can find on the ground.

How do I drink water?

You have to wait for day 2. You can only drink from the river at the gray stone area, right by the stepping stones. There are other places to drink on the island, but that's the closest to the cave.

How do I make a trap?

You need a twig and a vine to make the large trap, and then combine these with the basket to make the fish trap.

I get hungry all the time how do I solve this?

Go fishing with a pole in the river to the east of the cave, and catch a few salmon. Grab some seaweed from the beach on either side of the river, and make sure to dig for some chilli peppers randomly along the way. Give Skye one salmon and one piece of seaweed while having chilli peppers in your inventory, and have her cook it. Instant 55% hunger rating for each meal. Considering you can catch a dozen salmon at a time, this will solve your hunger problem for good.

I’m sick of the cave anywhere else you can sleep?

You can make a fire and sleep near it, or when you cross the lake there’s another cave.

What do the mushrooms do?

Black - Tasty mushroom, no extra effect
Blue - Puts your character to sleep - possibly useful if you contract insomnia?
Brown - Poison - gives a stomach ache and I cannot eat or sleep
Yellow - Poison - directly lowers health 1% point per real-time second
White - Poison - Dehydrates - lowers water 1% point per real-time second
Purple - Cures poison immediately after eating
Red - Stamina boost - prevents stamina from lowering for 45-50 in-game minutes

Do note that when you start a new game, the effects will no longer be the same for the same colour mushroom in your previous game. Eg. Previously, red mushroom will boost stamina, next new game, it may be a poisonous mushroom. One advice is to save before eating a mushroom ;)

Recipes are an absolute necessity when cooking. The most important step to successful cooking is to start with a recipe. Once you have learned a recipe, collect all of the ingredients and spices to make a delicious meal!

Guide to the Girl

In Lost in Blue, the girl is always talked about, for been a burden or just a waste of time, so this guide will explain everything there is to know that we know about the girl in Lost in Blue.

Firstly a little bit of back ground on this girl, she wants to be a novelist and has severe near slightness.

The Beginning…
At the beginning, I don’t think it can get much worse, the girl is much of a burden, and as dumb as a rock. After you brake her glasses, and take her to a near by cave, she becomes very independent on you, requesting food and water almost all the time, like a baby chick, basically needing things to much. Its not realistic at this point because of this girl, leaving her alone, and going out for along time can cause her to die, but leaving her with food and water dose the same thing, you have to force feed her and make shore she drinks.\

Latter on in the game…

After a few weeks (game week’s not real life weeks) you will find the girl will find something for her to gork at for the rest of the game, what dose she find? My god a barrel, with water, oh the magic of living, at lest the girl wont need water now, as she will be drinking the barrel like a dam pig, like Survival Kids, I bet you will have to fill the barrel up every so often. The girl can also build a drying rack for making jerky when she gets skilled enough at cooking, and she can eat the jerky while you’re away. This means that you won't have to constantly feed her, and she will be less of a burden. She can also cook for you and help you push large stones. She is also the one who gets the ideas to build furniture, such as beds, tables, and chairs which help you recover stamina faster and make stamina decrease less rapidly, and ideas to build shelves and meat dryers for storage and jerky making.

Other bits of information…

Don’t think the girl is a pain yet, she gets ideas, you get ideas, the whole world gets ideas, but to make furniture ect. You must have the idea, and the stuff to make it, and just click and omg, it’s made.
