I just started to collect this comic. Not bad!!! when i read the first issue....hhmmm like the style...

i just bought vol 16.

the thing about this title is that the plot developement is very fast so you can never be bored reading it. but the thing is that it just leaves you wanting more :laugh:

i read shaman king and it starts going downhill somewhere in the middle. quite disappointing for a series that started with so much potential.

lezhun/jusgod: Naruto, the way they unfold the story, abit disappointing. though the characters can be cute. Fav still Lee Rock guy.It used to be good but somehow it doesn't have that much of fun or enthusiasim waiting for the next issue. but anyway not to deviate from the thread subject. As my monthly budget only allow me to read 2 manga titles:20th century and Naruto, some DC,Vertigo and Marvel comics. And PC magazine 'Edge'. so sticking very close to those titles unless really really good.

so what's the story about bleach?

Bleach started out initially , as a high school kid( Kurosaki Ichigo) becoming a shinigami( Death god) accidentally abosrbing the powers of another shinigami( this girl is one of th main char called Rukia) sent to earth to protect the innocent from evil spirits called Orphans. This spirits either bear a grudge towards something or they are wandering souls that have been turned into orphans.

After all the orphan stuff, the story develops into a very very interesting plot, Rukia was captured by the soul society( The place where all the shinigami live), and with the help of Ichigo's friends namely orihime, chad, ishida and yourihisa with ganjuu recruited later on. I shall not explain what kinda of powers his team has and how they got their powers. U guys Slowly read ba. Anyway back to the story, once they have arrived in soul society, the whole story plot changes from a " saving earth from evil spirits plot", to a "saving a friend from a world of shinigami", along the way a consiparacy slowly unfolds and alot of battle between ichigo's team and the rest of the shinigami mainly the 13 captains. I shall end here, of course my synopsis is rubbish, the actual story has much much more details inbetween. You guys should read it, below i shall spoil a little bit on the fact of ichigo:

up to date, the anime is a exact replica of the manga, so all you manga readers no need to follow the anime fearing that it will be different from the anime. The only difference i have noticed so far is when ichmaru slashed the arm of Jidanbou, in the manga, Jidanbou's whole arm was detached, but in the anime, its was just a big and deep cut, probably they didn't want the anime to be too violent. :thumbsup:

Ha...im surprised such a popular manga and anime has so few post...

Anyway, i started out thinking that bleach was really dumb and stupid and felt that the story was getting nowhere.

BUT, i was wrong!

The story ( with regards to the anime) just gets better and better. The character becomes more interesting and the story seems to have a great depth to it. (hm...wonder how will ichigo's weapon looks like after his training...)

Not bad leh Bleach, got the 1st few volumes to test water, find that there is a least some plot..so went to get the remaining volumes at Kino. Got the Chuangyi version though. I try to support Chuangyi when I find that I can scarcifice a bit of printing quality. ha. Heard they are having a hard time selling books, so giving them support.

Just finished reading till vol 16. A nice title I can says.

The first few vol quite boring to me. The story developes quite fast and getting more exciting when they reached the other world. 13 squad leaders and their squad IC looks cool... :supz:

I likes 劍八(1 of the 13 squad leader). 好有男子氣概 :hello: His hairstyle looks funny sia :laugh: His Squad IC also quite cute too :D

Hmm for Manga and Anime diff in the begining so i don't know much. To me the exciting part comes in when ichigo met Urahara, the brewing of Shikai of Zangetsu. Front part all jokes and sentimental stuff imo.

Umm actually quite a few got 'killed' but always when they dying, 'someone' will come and save them lol. oh yah except one. Overall, if by anime, in jap imo its fantastic, quality of animation and plot of this is rare. By manga, depends on wether you getting chuanyi or tongli. Imo, the chuangyi translation is too singlish lol. Plot is still there, still good but maybe due to flash backs that are not very clearly indicated, it may be messy. Any part not clear just ask here bah. We can try to clarify for you.

The manga may result in ppl being clueless about some stuff as there are info that are only 'explained' in anime, sad to say.

Those are filler episodes coz the anime is catching up. Anyway the anime is different from the manga too from what I know, coz Orihime is said to show her affection for Ichigo rather openly in the manga whereas in the anime is more like brother and sister and very mild relationship. :(
