2. taking a dump/crapping while reading your most precious comics.

I will never do it, and also remind my friends not to do it when I lend it to them >:) In fact I try to keep them clean and neat, probably not the barber standard.

I'm very particulars about the condition of the manga.

1) No dog ears, dented or any defects be found on the manga. I/m very pricky and always choose the good condition 1 :D

2) I'm willingly to lends my manga to my frens as I would likes to share those good stuffs with them. But must handle with extra cares esp on HK weekly issues

3) Most of my Jap manga are wear on with clear plastic covers for protection and scratches. Likewise with my HK weekly issues, well taken care and slotted them in clear plastic covers.

4) Never ever touched them with my oily/stain hands

5) Well, I did reads manga and eating snacks at the same time. But never used my stain fingers to hold the book :)

Too bad, I doesn't have a shelf like Justin 1 at home. I kept them all inside a big plastic box. No more space to put liao :((

Lastly, besides keeping away from sunlights, any ideas to prevents the manga from turning yellowish while placing there for a long period??
Does those thirsty hippo really useful??

pegasus~fantasy:what i did to minimise yellowing of the comics is getting acid free plastic sleeve and backing board.I usually asked my friendly comics seller to pack my English comics in that way. however i don't know whether the size is suitable for the chinese newstand comics.

After which, i normally store them in dark and dry area. If can, i will put in the moisture absorbent 'hippo'.

The backing back helps to reinforce to prevent spin damages and also crease at the edges which i am very particular of.

As i mostly buy manga, which usually comes in thick volumn. I normally just pick it up and read it anywhere, even in the toilet taking a dump.so i am not to concern or worry that it might have cover damages.

I think the comic shop pack them with the comic themselves and you have to pay for it, but collectors are more than willing to do that. Thats why I always have the impression ang moh comic more high class :(

pegasus~fantasy:aye, the plastic sleeve usually provided free with purchase of comics. But the backing boards have to purchase. Per piece is about 30cents. Its called acid free backing board and usually very sturdy.

I think if asian size almost the same as the western. maybe just buy the board will do. I forgotten the pricing for 50piece pack.

Rookiyong:Ang mo wan high class in cover but most of them really sucks in story. I also don't follow much mainstream. normally read independent publisher that publish very unique stories liked the Sin city comics(sorry if i touch on english comics here, just as a reference)

But asian has make alot of inroads into western comics. in fact some of them are doing covers art and content for the comics; notable ones are wolverine cover and inside art.done by asian. even the transformer also done by asian, somemore the ang mo paying alot to get those covers.

HK comics size is slightly bigger, but still smaller than an A4. Didnt know how their story goes, but if take away the colouring (its usually very strnog and eye-catching), I find it cant be compared to HK standard. But that is a style they have grown to be, and also have to applaud them for it =D>

No matter if it's english, jap or hk comics, I always sealed them up in sleeves or plastics after reading, so it's definately option 1.
