SINGAPORE : Police have confirmed that a woman's head was found in a bag behind Orchard MRT station early this afternoon.

Police are investigating the case. No further information is available.

The latest case comes less than three months after the body parts of Chinese national Liu Hong Mei, 22, were found in the Kallang River on June 16.

The victim's upper and lower torso were found in the river, while her head and lower limbs were later found in a rubbish due to be incinerated.

Police later arrested her supervisor Leong Siew Chor, 50. - CNA/de

The rest of the body is found in McRichi(sorry about the spelling) Reservoir. The murderer is quite funny. Still dares to place the victim's head and hands throwing nearby Orchard MRT. :evil:

Yeah, i find it puzzling too, its like he purposely wans ppl to find the body easily....Now thats realli sicko, come to think of it, if he din wan ppl to find out also wun choose a place like Orchard Mrt....Gives mi the creeps man....

SINGAPORE, Sept 10 (Reuters) - Singapore police said they had arrested a Filipino maid in a murder investigation on Saturday, a day after the dismembered parts of a woman were discovered in bags at the city-state's main shopping centre and a park.
On Friday afternoon, a woman's head and severed limbs were found in a sports bag near the entrance of a subway station at Singapore's Orchard Road, home to luxury boutiques and large department stores.

A few hours later, a female torso was found in a trolley bag on a path at one of the state's best-known parks.

"Based on investigation, we believe that the victim is a 26-year-old Filipina domestic worker. Extensive groundwork and enquiries have established that the suspect is a fellow Filipina maid, believed to be known to the victim," the police said in a statement.

The 29-year-old suspect was arrested at her employer's home.

Gruesome murders are rare in Singapore, which has one of the world's lowest crime rates but also some of its toughest laws, including caning and death by hanging.

This is the second discovery of a dismembered body in the wealthy island state this year, coming less than three months after the body of a Chinese national, Liu Hong Me, was discovered in two boxes on the outskirts of the central business district.

Liu's torso was found in a river, while her head and lower limbs were discovered in rubbish due to be incinerated.

Her factory supervisor has since been arrested.

do not know if it is a trend in SG or not....whenever there is a 1st case of something happened, tend to have the 2nd or 3rd case...

do not know if it is a trend in SG or not....whenever there is a 1st case of something happened, tend to have the 2nd or 3rd case...

Even over the world its like this...whenever a plane crash...it just keeps coming. :(
