Since the episode with MKZ, I have decided to check up on my preorder with KKNM which dated back on 01.10.2010.
They never replied the emails i have sent to them several times and today when i called them up, they told me "They do not know what happen to the stocks after they move." Really what a wtf answer was that and that was a telltale sign imo.
Any fellow collectors with pre-orders from them I urge you to check it up with them too.

It seems like a trend or something. but keep it positive maybe its just a delayed shipment.

Apparently the stocks had arrived(from what i heard from the phone conversation) but it was not updated on their websites and they don't even have the courtesy to sms me about the arrival. Now the items were mysteriously missing when their shop had moved from sunshine plaza to PoMo =D>
Although they said that they will "try" to order the items again I could no longer put my trust on them. What a way to do business and i hope this will not be an upcoming trend from my remaining 2 suppliers.

It's best to pre-order from reputatable shops nowadays.

From what I know, both mentioned shops lately WERE reputable until issues like this arise. So it's really hard to judge which shop is shady which is not.
Ultimately, I feel that no matter what, it is up to the awareness and observation of the consumer if they smell anything is cooking up lately within the shop. Sh*t happens once in awhile in life, it's a matter of preventing or rectifying the issue early. Cheers to more good deals for us all.

The best solution of all solutions is not to preorder anything. Walk into shop, see the item, pay and go. No hassle no fear of shops coming out with nonsense. Only thing is you need to remember the release dates and take note of their arrivals.

It does not work that way as certain items are only obtainable by pre-ordering.

Also, people will find it hard to resist the chance to save a bit of money with the preorder; the trick is to balance risk vs money (potentially) saved. I personally am not comfortable with paying 50% or more upfront. 20% - 30% I can still accept if the savings are substantial. And I also try not to preorder too many items at one time to minimise exposure.
