SINGAPORE (AFP) - – Singapore's MobileOne Ltd (M1) said Tuesday it has reached an agreement with US computing giant Apple to sell the iconic iPhone to customers later this year.

However, the telecommunications firm said that information on pricing, tariffs and availability dates will be released later.

"M1 and Apple have reached an agreement to bring iPhone to customers in Singapore later this year," the Singapore company said in a statement.

"M1 looks forward to offering iPhone and a range of tailored service plans to customers in Singapore."

Rival Singapore Telecommunications (SingTel) began offering Apple's sleek third generation network iPhones late last year.

Yes :supz: Finally M1 turns. Hopefully the price is ok since now they going to compete with Singtel. And I'm intending to get 1 too from M1 :D

I also tot of getting HTC hero. But some feedback that the bluetooth is not applicable for file transfer between phones and laptops, but only meant for connection with headphones :(

One of my colleugue has it, yes, no bluetooth transfer between phones and computers which IMO truly sucks. Outlook and other features are pretty good though.

OT a bit:

Not sure whether HTC has changed the interface, if not being a Diamond user, and gathering FB from many other similar users, the sensors are bound to get haywire about 1-2 year of usage, if you are a frequent HP changer, then i guess it's allright. If not, i doubt i will buy a HTC phone again. Not to mention the "Usually Big" service centre.

I was asked to wait for 3 hours last evening, and I need to wait for additional 24 consumers ahead before me :( after waiting for around 30 mins plus, only 5 consumers had taken their phones :o Don't know what procedures that consumers need to go through which need to take so long waiting time? Poor service for awaiting imo though the staffs are friendly and patient :|

I simply ignore the queue no. and head straight back to my office which I'm gonna late for work. That's why unable to meetup with you yesterday evening

Perhaps will collect my phone again either this afternoon or probably Fri.

the queue is for 1st come 1st basis...

anyway just got my iphone 2 days back which took me 1.5h to receive it :D

To me, the phone itself features are not usual friendly imo. Esp need to link up to itunes for transfering of musics etc.. The itune itself also not user friendly too. Can't find ways to delete some unwanted mp3 etc.. Still need times to explore and adapt it :(

Once you accidentally click on the itune icon, it will directly goes to online w/o asking you to confirm entering it :| The touch screen no doubt is really good. Quick and fast response. Unlike my previous omnia, sometimes even will lag.

Overall, iphone is a gd phone to me :D

Eh Hades, is there a way to activiate the data plan? I can't log on the web man.

Is your SIM card compatible with the iphone which need 3G?

You may check under the "setting>general>restriction" whether you have disable those icons which need to activate the data plan...

The staff help me to do all the settings for me upon signing up the plan. I don't have any problem for accessing itunes, you-tube etc...

If still unable to access it, you may always call 1627 and talk to the operator, or go down personally and request help from the staffs there ;)
